Shopping Spree & Lindsay's Apartment

My sister in law, Lindsay, just recently moved into an awesome new apartment, which is in such a fun part of town, has plenty of space, and (maybe most importantly) has about a zillion closets. I'm not kidding, I have never seen an apartment with so much amazing closet space!  I'm definitely a little jealous:)

Lindsay brought with her a bed and cute Anthropologie bedding and a couch and love seat in a great neutral, beige color that allows her some flexibility in her choices for the rest of the living room.  I brought over a cute rug that we're not using anywhere at the moment that will go in the dining room, and as you know, we found a major score for a dining room table.  We're picking out chairs now, and I can't wait to show you what we've found!

 

Since she moved to Louisville from a tiny NYC apartment, Lindsay didn't have much furniture for the new place, so we recently made a list of what she needs and focused on her top priorities.  During the day while she was at work I checked out several of our antique and second hand furniture places, we both scoured eBay and Craigslist, and one night last week we took a little trip over to Home Goods... which turned into a scene from Supermarket Sweep:)  You never know what you'll find at Home Goods, but this trip was a huge success!  It got the point where we couldn't actually get everything we had picked out to the front or in the car, so I came back the next day to load up the rest.  

We got her an awesome rug for the living room, three lamps, FIVE side tables/nightstands, a bathroom cabinet and a ton of smaller things that she needed for the apartment.  Once again it confirmed that Home Goods is one of my favorite places on earth.
