Luxury Library Ladders

Jady and I both love the idea of a real home library, and we sure could use one, given the absurd number of books we have accumulated over the years.  He reads voraciously--and I'm not exaggerating here--rarely a day goes by that Amazon doesn't drop a new one off for us.  Thank goodness for Prime's free 2 day shipping!  So we don't exactly have a real library for now, but we do have those tall built in bookshelves in the den area, and hey, we can always dream.  Maybe someday we'll have a library, an enormous walk in closet, a wrapping area and a whole room for potting plants.  Right? :)

Recently Jady was at a friend's house and spotted this amazing library ladder, snapped a photo and brought it home to show me.  Not just your ordinary ladder, it's an English, leather, foldable kind that looks as handsome as the gorgeous, portrait laden old style library that it belongs in.  I love the leather wrapping, and apparently many of them come decorated with nailhead trim (always a good idea).  And for smaller library areas like ours, the fact that you can fold it and lean it up in a corner would be perfect.

For the man who has everything (book-wise), this would be the perfect gift.  Have you ever seen one in person before?
