As December continues to march along at an alarming pace and Christmas seems just around the corner, I'm having a great time shopping for gifts for friends and family. These days with the ease of internet shopping it feels like the choices are endless, so I'm always helped with givers block by checking out the gift ideas from magazines and blogs, just to get the ball rolling again. Here are just a few things on my list for Santa that I turned up while shopping for others--one of the nasty side effects of looking for presents for other people (oops!).
Playing cards from Tiffany's, which make even a mindless game of War seem anything but childish.
Beveled Arabesque tile for my kitchen backsplash
I've been dreaming of some wonderful coffee table books lately, including this one about my favorite painter, John Singer Sargent.
Just a side note, if you don't have this Sargent book yet, add it to your lists, too! Not only is the cover beautiful enough to look good lying around, his paintings are so enchanting it might actually tempt you to read it:)
This Italian campaign bed from Anthropologie is still a favorite.
I am loving this gold bamboo two tiered tray table so much! Airy and elegant, and not too expensive.
Speaking of bamboo... in case you're looking for something a little larger, this gold coffee table from Horchow is just perfect.
This mirrored chest would even make fingerprints look good.
This handsome tray is part of Target's collaborative line with Neiman Marcus-- perfect for a dresser, bedside table or bar.
I love these fabric tissue covers, which you can also have monogramed (bonus!).
And if you're looking for the perfect stocking stuffer for me, feel free to pick up these AH-mazing floral gold dipped nesting bowls, designed by our friend, Jonathan Hansen for Aerin Lauder.
