New York City Marathon
The Rev. ran the New York Marathon last November. The entire event was inspiring and fun. Our lovely friends in Fort Greene hosted the fiesta, Nia made a fabulous sign, and we cheered.

We had a fab Easter with so many fun little surprises. Nia and I created some wispy floral ropes for church. She captured some beautiful pictures along the way.

WEDDING CAKES
This week I have been busy prepping for Sophia's birthday and a wedding at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. I was asked to create floral toppers for the cake. I decided to create a floral garland made of sage, spray roses, calla lilies, and thistles. Here are a few pics for the process.

Kids Decor
I completely jumped on the band wagon of faux taxidermy. Recently G & I began working on a friend's space and I found the best of the best in way of faux animals. I know which I would choose…..
I just love the geometric shapes and lines. BTW I found these on FAB.COM. If your looking outside of the lines I would head to FAB.
Which would you choose???

I have been thinking of the raw space and beautiful twinkle lights that will create the most dreamy wedding space. Here are a few of my inspirations pics….

Kids Lighting
Ginger and I are busy working on a friends space. Today I had the fun job of finding kids lighting for their space. I just love what I found. Kid's spaces can be made so cool and modern these days. I found the most fun light fixtures from Dot & Bo.
Here are a few favorites……
I love the direction we are headed….

BROOKLYN WEDDING (DUMBO)
This week is filled with wedding prep. I am really excited the couple loves anything out of the ordinary in terms of texture and look. We are staying in the green/gray family so that means lots of grasses, dusty miller, and a variety of Dahlias to soften the look. I can't wait to see how it all turns out. I will be making a few ropes of florals which will be a first outside of Christmas time. I can't wait and I love that they are happy to have anything odd. What a treat for me, it is always a thrill to step outside of the box.

Happy Days & Happy Rest
Summer vacation has officially begun. Creative Arts Camp was completed over a week ago and I am happily having family time with the NINOS. We have been all of the city over the past week.
Our favorite spots have been Governors Island and the Far Rockaway beaches. Since the ninos live in the city, riding bikes are not second nature. So, this last week I gave the kids a pep talk and we were well on our way to cycling. So, if your in NYC watch out, we were already yelled just a few times around Gramercy Park, oops......
Happy Summer Days!!!
