Ladies Night...

Last night was party numero 4!!!! We ended our party season with the LADIES.  I have to say if your looking for a community of women who are interesting, fabulous, and full of hope look no further then CALSTG.  I normally don't get into our church to much on the blog, but after a wonderful evening with lady friends, its just a shame not to share what we have going on.  Needless to say I am grateful for the women we rub shoulders with daily.  Thank God for all the LADIES of CALSTG.

Merry Christmas!!!!

Happy New Year

The Rev. and I took a deep breath after Christmas and have found ourselves in the FULL swing of 2015. The calendar for the spring is set and is in motion.

The Rev. and I had countless parties, lots of ice skating, and good old fashion family time.

I tend not to make resolutions for the New Year but definitely have hopes for 2015, including more blogging :)

Happy New Year

Family Christmas Photos

Our dear friend Jeremy took our family photos a couple weeks ago. I don't know about you but getting pictures together with family members is never easy, especially when little ones are involved. Last year I brought along large blue balloons to keep the kids engaged. This year there wasn't much time to pull any dramatic stunts together and we decided to keep the pictures simple. I wanted to focus on who were are as a little church family. So, this year we took our pictures right after church in our Sunday best.

Here is a sneak peak…….

I love how the pinks, reds, blues, and browns brought the picture together. We are also so grateful Jeremy is willing to put up with our shenanigans each year.

Besos,

Happy Halloween & Farewell

We are well into Halloween and if you know anything about New Yorkers, you know they take Halloween seriously. The Rev. and I are cooking up a fun couples costumes, stay tuned….
In addition to trick or treating and running around town, we are hosting a Halloween Farewell supper. When you live in NYC there are MANY farewells to be had. People transfer jobs, return to home towns, you name it people move. Tonight is very special since we have a dear parishioner who is headed south and it wouldn't be proper to say goodbye without having supper one last time.
Many table scaping is in the works. I was going for a soft autumn look that also paid a nod to Halloween. Here is what we have so far…..

Happy Halloween!!!

Easter Settings that POP

A few days ago I set my Easter Brunch table. I find it less stressful to complete set up days in advance. Completing the table in advance also gives me a few days to layer and add fun details leading up to our BIG event. Here is a little before photos, just a few dishes and flowers that POP
(poppies, lilac, ranunculus, wax flowers).

Easter Decor

What can you accomplish with balloons, glitter, and glue? The kids and I have been busy bees working on fun crafting projects for Easter. This time around we have really been experimenting with crafts around the house.
Here is what our process looked like.

The Perfect Flower for Easter

With a full week ahead of us, I have begun prepping the house so I avoid feeling overwhelmed come Easter morning. On my to do list was to buy our Easter clothes in advance. I never want to wake up the morning of Easter and think through my outfit for the day. The second thing I do before Easter is buy flowers for the casa. Lucky for me, I have had a few gigs in the last week, and I happily took left over branches home. They are just beginning to bloom, so fingers crossed they will be in perfect condition for Sunday.
