Another Fiesta: 9 Year-Old Party

Sophia is now 9, gasp……. I can't even believe it.  Just this last weekend I was with a friend in the delivery room, the same room Sophia was born in.  All I could think, was 9 years truly does fly by.  I will say I am grateful for Sophia and her young spirit.  S has a bit of an obsession with some Dutch mice, its all my fault so I can't blame the girl.  I took her to ABC Carpet a year ago, and she immediately feel in love with the magic. 

In the Children's section, there are displays of little mice with very human personas.  There was no going back, Sophia found Matilda and the collection began.  For Sophia's 9th birthday we decided to have a mouse party.  We hosted 6 special friends and they each received a mouse and a habitat to create.  Each party I create gets better and better as I get to really know my kids more, number 9 did not disappoint.

8 YEAR OLD PARTY

Last month S turned 8.  I am in complete shock and more in love with her curiosity, imagination, and wonder.  8 is GREAT has been the theme throughout the month of October.  We celebrated the day of BDAY with a Mouse Supper, then celebrated with friends over a SPOOKY BDAY party.

FRENCHY MICE BIRTHDAY PARTY

SOPHIA IS 8, IT IS UNBELIEVABLE, I CAN'T BELIVE HOW QUICKLY TIME HAS FLOWN.  LUCKY FOR ME SOPHIA IS STILL A SWEET IMAGINATIVE ONE WHO LOVES TINY FRENCH MICE & PETER PAN.  SO THIS YEAR WE DECIDED TO HAVE A MOUSE PARTY JUST WITH FAMILY.

FALL BRIDAL BOUQUETS

This Fall season has been FULL of love.  Each wedding has been unique and thoughtfully planned by the brides I have worked with.  Last weekend, I was asked to create a bouquet that honored the Fall season including seasonal flowers and calla lilies. I was asked to create a bridal bouquet that was cascading.

5 Year Old Party

Last week we held Henry's Fiesta.  We had so much fun crafting and eating treats.

Kids' Swag Bags: Wild Kratt Bags

When it comes to birthday party bags, I try to incorporate the treats with the theme. No one wants more junk in their place, especially more plastic toys. So, I do my best to put together a swag bag that the kids will use while at the party. 

Since H wanted a Wild Kratts themed party, I put together canteens, notebooks from Muji, and binoculars. Who doesn't love adventure items?  I simply printed out the free printables from PBS Kids' website and glued them onto the canteens and notebooks.  I also added feathers, wash tape for accents, and glued Wild Kratt Creature Power pods everywhere.  

The kids used their bags to discover animal prints we left throughout the house. The kids drew the prints and guessed what type of animal they discovered.

Spring Fever

Hola!!! 

We have made it to the other side of Henry's fifth birthday, and I can't help but be hopeful that spring is just around the corner.  Here in NYC we have had our fair share of snow and ONE big snow day. We bundled up and set out for Gramercy Park. Fingers crossed, flowers will be blooming soon!!!!
