I don't think there is a science to a successful photo shoot other then laughter and a little chocolate bribery.  We usually take a few hundred photos to just have ONE pic where we are all looking forward and smiling.

Welcome, Little Tucker!

Welcome to the world, Tucker!  On April 23, one day before her due date, this precious little angel joined us.  

After all of these years of praying for a baby and so many months wondering what she'd be like, actually meeting her, holding her, and getting to bring her home with us was all incredibly surreal.

These past eight weeks have flown by so quickly, I can't even believe it.  We have been cherishing this early time with Tucker, enjoying every coo and (mostly) every fuss :-)  Seriously, how many kisses can I give her in a day?? I am just now starting to wade back into life again to write some emails, thank you notes, and blog posts after being hopelessly and happily behind.

As always, thank you all for your encouragement and for your well wishes about Tucker!  And up next: an update on the construction going on at our new house.  I can't wait to share some more before and during photos with you!

The END

Summer is here, and tomorrow is Sophia's last day of school, tear tear...... I am one of those mothers who is sad at the end of each year, because it just means my little ones are growing way too fast. In the midst of Creative Arts Camp etc.... I have been reflecting on our life over the last year. 

Boy what a difference a year can make.

We made a move, the kids have grown, and all I can say is I feel overwhelmed with gratitude. We have had another year of work in a church we love, grown closer as a familia, and have had a lot of fun in between.

Warmer Days & Cinco De Mayo

April in New York has proven itself to be a month of chilly days along with a bit of rain in the end. Spring has left me wondering if we will ever see warmer days again! I am ready for al fresco dinner parties on the roof and long days in the park.

Supper: Part UNO

My kids and I have been cooking up meals together practically since they were born. Preparing meals together is our afternoon activity, and I can honestly say is well worth the effort. I love a family meal that involves all of US, and the ninos do too. 

Like any good meal, we begin the experience at the table. Last night our family shared a meal with our dearest friends here in NYC, our neighbors. S was more then excited to host our friends and happily set the table on her own.
